This hat is a 4 piece design. The entire pelt is used to make this hat, each hat is lined the entire length with cotton flannel. The brim is optional and available in two sizes. This style of hat may be made from river otter, coyote or a variety of selected fox furs. Hats with legs and feet must be special ordered.
How they are made: After sewing the fur pieces together, I glue down strips of deerskin over the seam and where the lining and brim are sewn in. This reinforcement ensures the hat will last for many years of hard use.
