This style hat is a 3 piece design. Each hat is lined with cotton flannel and includes a leather brim of which 2 sizes are available. These hats are made from the finest quality beaver, river otter, raccoon, coyote or selected fox fur. Available in 2 styles: trapper style and traditional style.
Traditional: Unlike the trapper hat, this style does not include a brim. The liner is extended then folded over and laced by using brain-tanned lacing.
How they are made: After sewing the fur pieces together, I glue down strips of deerskin over the seam and where the lining and brim are sewn in. This reinforcement ensures the hat will last for many years of hard use.
